Grace Elizabeth Harris

Grace Elizabeth Harris, 84, of Buckhannon, W.Va. died Friday, May 21, 2021, at her home.

She was born April 13, 1937, in Leicester, N.C., a daughter of the late John and Ruby Freeman West.

On July 1, 1956, she married Rev. Junior Brent Harris who survives. She is also survived by one son, Mark Harris and wife Lesia of Weaverville, N.C.; two daughters, Brenda Helms and husband R.L. of Locust, N.C. and Nancy Wamsley and husband Mike of Buckhannon; one grandson, Austin Wamsley of Buckhannon; three granddaughters, Anna Harris of Spartanburg, S.C. and Kirston Lavis and husband George and Kendra Manning and husband Mark all of French Creek, W.Va.; two great grandsons, Mason and Nathaniel Lavis both of French Creek; one brother, John West and wife Ruth of Jackson, Miss.; five sisters, Mary Lee Karickhoff and Joyce West both of Buckhannon, Betty Jean Mintz of Candler, N.C., Janet Parker of Alexandria, Va. and Judy Berch and husband Jim of Orange, Calif.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by infant twin brothers, Gene and Junior West.

Mrs. Harris was a Transcriptionist in Health Care and an Independent by faith.

Friends will be received Wednesday, May 26, 2021, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. David Bickle and the Rev. William Lanham officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon.
