Golf Bucs finish fourth at quad outing at Bridgeport

BRIDGEPORT – The Buckhannon-Upshur golf Buccaneers finished fourth out of four teams in a Big 10 Conference quad outing with Bridgeport, East Fairmont and Grafton Thursday at the Bridgeport Country Club.

The Bucs carded a 192 while Bridgeport won the event with a 173, East Fairmont was second with a 178 and Grafton was third with a 182.

Jevon Westfall led the Bucs with a 45.

Trailing Westfall for the Bucs were Easton Perkins with a 48, Jaden Westfall with a 49 and Tucker Burr with a 50.

Non-scoring Bucs were Parker Lockwood with a 50 and Taylor Spratt with a 62.

Blake Hunt of East Fairmont won low medalist honors with a 37 while Jayden Gregory of Bridgeport was second with a 42.

Buckhannon-Upshur’s scheduled contest last week with Grafton was postponed and was rescheduled for Sept. 15.

The action left the Bucs with a 12-22 mark overall and an 8-16 mark in the Big 10 Conference.

B-U will be back in action Monday with Philip Barbour, Grafton and Lewis County at the Stonewall Golf Course.
