Glenda J. (Dean) Wright

Glenda J. (Dean) Wright, age 76, of Buckhannon, WV, died Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at her home.

She was born December 8, 1946, in Buckhannon, a daughter of the late Jesse Junior and Edith Elaine (Wentz) Dean.

On March 5, 1964, she married Kenneth Wright who survives. Also surviving are four sons, Kevin Wright and wife Pam of Volga, WV, Kenny Wright of Buckhannon, Victor Wright and wife Lisa of Carrolton, WV and Travis Wright and wife Jackie of Brooklet, GA; two daughters, Michele Wright and Glenna Rae both of Buckhannon; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; five sisters, Twila Moreland, Lucille Wilfong, Darlene Dean and Kenna Marie Everson and husband Joe all of Buckhannon and Luella Saffle and husband Terry of Volga; two brothers, Lawrence Dean and wife Sherry and Jesse Raymond Dean and wife Becky all of Buckhannon; one brother-in-law, Carl Sothen of Buckhannon and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Carol Sothen.

Mrs. Wright was a homemaker, a member of the Mt. Nebo CEOs and the Kesling Mill Lions Club. She was an avid bowler, loved playing cards, camping and most of all spending time with her family.

Friends will be received Friday, February 24, 2023, from 5 to 9 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 11 AM Saturday at the funeral home with Sherry Dean officiating. Burial will follow in the Kesling Mill Cemetery in Kesling Mill, WV.

The family would like to send a special thank you to the WV Hospice nursing staff, Stephanie, Katie, Chrissy and Shawna for their loving care.
