The Lady Buccaneer volleyball squad beat Liberty in straight sets in a match Thursday at home. The 3-0 win boosted Buckhannon-Upshur’s overall record to 3-1 heading into Tuesday’s home tri with Preston and Lewis Counties.

Buckhannon-Upshur trailed No. 7 Philip Barbour just 14-7 at halftime, but six turnovers and depth issues fueled a 35-7 loss. Landyn Carpenter ran for 268 yards as the Colts’ power game took over, overshadowing an improved 321-yard effort by the Bucs.
