Notice: The City of Buckhannon Transfer Station will remain closed Thursday due to a malfunctioning scale. The Recycling Center remains open, and all waste pickups will continue on the regular schedule.

Free home-buying workshop set for Aug. 30 at Family Support Center

BUCKHANNON — The Mountain CAP Family Support Center, in collaboration with the HomeOwnership Center, is offering a free home-buying workshop on August 30 at 5 p.m., at 30 East Main Street in Buckhannon.

Learn how credit advising can get you on track for success, tips for boosting credit, benefits of buying vs renting, about their down payment assistance program and home loans available to all income levels.
