Franklin R. “Frank” Cool

Franklin R. “Frank” Cool, 83, of Rock Cave, died Friday, August 23, 2019, at his home. 

He was born on July 5, 1936, in Diana, W.Va., a son of the late Dana Roscoe and Anna A. Tanner Cool. 

He was united in marriage on November 23, 1963, to Paula Elaine Wilfong Cool, who survives.  Also surviving are one sister Wanda Conley of Pittsburgh and several nieces and nephews. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six siblings:  Donald, Bobby, Keith, Rose, Jane, and JoAnn. 

Frank was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during the Korean Conflict.  He was a member of the Rock Cave United Methodist Church, where he had served as a trustee.  Throughout his career in construction, he built and sold many homes, taking much pride in his work.

The family would like to extend many thanks for the kindness shown to Frank by the oncology teams at St. Joseph’s Hospital and the VA Medical Center in Clarksburg.

At the request of the deceased, the body was cremated.  Private graveside services will be held at a later date, where military rites will be provided by the Upshur County Honor Guard.
