Football Bobcats release 2023 schedule

BUCKHANNON, W.Va. – The 2023 West Virginia Wesleyan football schedule has been released with the announcement of the MEC slate by the conference this morning. The Bobcats will play a full 11-game schedule with one non-conference matchup and 10 conference games.

Wesleyan opens up the season at home with CIAA opponent Johnson C. Smith on September 2. The following week, the Bobcats hit the road to take on reigning MEC champion Notre Dame College. The Battlers of Alderson Broaddus will be Wesleyan’s first MEC home game on September 16.

WVWC travels to Charleston and hosts West Virginia State to wrap up the month of September. A road game to Wheeling starts the month of October and consecutive home games with West Liberty and UNC Pembroke are slated for October 14 and October 21. The Bobcats go back on the road to end the month when they travel to Concord.

Senior Day is slated for November 4 against Fairmont State and Wesleyan closes out the regular season on the road at Glenville State.

A Thursday night schedule and time releases will be announced on a later date by the Mountain East Conference.
