Eva Arlene Simmons, Russell, Perine

Eva Arlene Simmons, Russell, Perine passed away peacefully at her home January 14, 2021.

She was born December 28, 1929, in Alton, W.Va., a daughter of the late Reverend Harry and Bertha Lower Simmons.

She was preceded in death by her husband Bradford (Abe) Russell whom she married on March 15, 1948; one son, Reverend Jimmy Lee Russell; one grandson, Brian Keith Russell; her second husband Reverend Edward Perine; seven sisters, Cleo, Wanda, Merlene, Francine, Etta Jo, Beverly, and Betty and five brothers, Ronnie, Donnie, Dorman, Eugene and Rev. Benny Simmons.

She is survived by three sons, Bobby Russell and wife Debbie of Tallmansville, W.Va., Johnny Russell and wife Mary of Buckhannon, W.Va. and Paul Russell and wife Teresa of Buckhannon; one daughter, Mrs. George (Janice) Jenkins of Buckhannon; one daughter-in-law, Martha Russell of Buckhannon; one brother, Dick Minor of Nova, Ohio; three sisters, Beryl Dennis of Daytona, Fla., Patricia Fisher of Scott Depot, W.Va. and Avis Allen and husband Dixon of Ruther Glen, Va.; 13 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Eva was a Pentecostal by faith and a member of Faith Tabernacle Church in Buckhannon. She was a mother and friend to all and dedicated her life to loving her family and the Lord.

Friends will be received Wednesday, January 20, 2021 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A private funeral service will be held for the family on Thursday. Burial will follow in the Ten Mile Baptist Cemetery in Ten Mile, W.Va.
