Dr. Homer E. Holloway

Dr. Homer E. Holloway, 85, of Buckhannon, W.Va., died Monday, April 15, 2019, at Colonial Place in Elkins, W.Va.

He was born Sept. 23, 1933 in Moss, W.Va., a son of the late Lester L. and Eva Marie Miller Holloway. 

He is survived by his wife Phyllis Ann Holloway of Buckhannon; one son, Stephen Holloway of Glenville, W.Va.; one daughter, Teresa Teter and husband Jerry of Buckhannon; three grandsons, Jacob Teter and wife Sharice of N.C., Joshua Holloway of Wichita Falls, Texas and Stephen H. Holloway of Morgantown, W.Va.; one granddaughter, Jessica Martinez and wife Zena of Phoenix, Ariz.; four great-grandchildren and two brothers, Lester Lee Holloway, Jr. of Akron, Ohio and Dan Holloway and wife Carol of Uniontown, Ohio.

Mr. Holloway was a Chemistry Professor and Chairman of the Dept. of Physical Science for many years at the West Virginia Wesleyan College. He was the Clinical Physicist at Orlando Regional Medical Center in Florida.

Mr. Holloway was a pilot and loved to fly and he taught aviation.

He was an Elder of the Faith Baptist Church in Buckhannon.

Friends will be received Monday, April 22, 2019 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home with the funeral service beginning at noon. Burial will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Burnsville, W.Va.
