The City Council and Upshur County Board of Education Candidate Forum was sponsored by the Buckhannon-Upshur Chamber of Commerce, My Buckhannon, Channel 3 and WVWC’s College Student Senate on Wednesday, March 16.

John Emerson Davidson, 96, of Hacker Valley, and formerly of Buckhannon, died June 30, 2026, at his home. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War and enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, and camping.
