Davis Medical Center explains current process for COVID-19 vaccine

Vaccine Administration Management System (VAMS) is an optional, web-based application that supports planning and execution for temporary, mobile, or satellite COVID-19 vaccination clinics.

Davis Medical Center is listed as a vaccination location on the VAMS website, however, at this time Davis Medical Center is restricted by strict guidelines from the state of West Virginia and the CDC to only distribute to hospital employees.

If you have received an email from the CDC or from your employer to receive your COVID-19 vaccine, please do not select Davis Medical Center as your vaccination location at this time, we will not be able to vaccinate the general public at this time. Please contact your employer to clarify your vaccination location.

Once Davis Medical Center receives the green light from the state, we have plans in place to provide vaccination to the community members not employed by Davis Health System.

The state of West Virginia has created a 7-step system of distribution and as of 12-30-2020, West Virginia is in phase 1A.
