Davis Medical and Elkins Rotary team up for Blood Screening May 18

ELKINS, W.Va. – A Community Blood Screening sponsored by Davis Medical Center (DMC) will be held Tuesday, May 18 from 7 – 10 a.m. at Davis Medical Center’s Alternative Screening Unit (Drive-Thru Clinic).

The multi-phasic blood panel will be offered at a discounted price of $35.  It includes CBC, comprehensive metabolic panel, and lipid panel. Other tests available at discounted prices include thyroid (TSH) and thyroid profile, PSA (prostate), testosterone, 25-hydroxy Vitamin D, HbA1c (diabetes), C-Reactive Protein (CRP) , Iron, Total Iron Binding Capacity (TIBC), and Vitamin B12, folate.

Pre-registration for the multi-phasic screen is not required however individuals should fast for 12 hours before getting blood tests to ensure the most accurate results. Payment may be made at the time of the test by check, credit card or cash.  

The event is open to the public (charges apply to some screenings) no appointment is needed. The blood screening will take place at the Davis Medical Center’s Alternative Screening Unit (Drive-Thru Clinic). Patients will remain in their vehicle at all times.
