Davis Health System Foundation announces scholarship deadlines

Elkins — The Davis Health System (DHS) Foundation is accepting applications through March 31, 2022, for four scholarships which will be awarded to 2022 graduating high school seniors.

  • The DHS Foundation and Davis Medical Center (DMC) Medical Staff and Administrative Scholarships are tailored to students continuing their studies in a healthcare related field.
  • The DMC Auxiliary Scholarship recognizes students who have volunteered hours to a health-related program.

These scholarships are open to students who attend high school in Randolph, Barbour, Tucker, Pocahontas, Upshur, and Webster counties.  Students will be evaluated on overall grade point average, ACT/SAT scores, extracurricular and community participation, a written essay, and their acceptance into a two or four-year program in a healthcare-related field.  The award for each of these is $1,000 per student.

“Davis Health System is happy to invest in the continued education of tomorrow’s healthcare professionals,” said DHS Foundation Executive Director, Mike Bell.  “These important contributions are possible through the support of our donors and families who recognize the impact of the work we do and the programs, like scholarships, we provide.”

Applications and guidelines for all scholarships are available on the DHS Foundation website at www.dhsfoundation.org. Those interested can also call the Foundation Office at 304.630.3043.  The deadline is March 31, 2022.
