David Malcom George

David Malcom George, 63, of Buckhannon, WV, died Sunday, February 6, 2022, at the St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon.

He was born November 23, 1958 in Upshur County, WV, a son of the late Hertzel Herdon George and Juanita Fern Malcolm Rowan.

David is survived by one sister, Jennifer Heffner and husband Randy of Mount Clare, WV; one brother, William George and wife Cheri of Fairmont, WV; step father, Okel “Okey” Carl Rowan of Mount Clare and four nieces, Cetara, Makenzie “Kenzie”, Madison “Maddie” and Haley Hefner all of Mount Clare.

David was a native of Upshur County and was an ordained minister. He enjoyed going to church, listening to music, and playing the guitar and piano. David has been blind since age 12 and attended the Romney WV School for the Blind.

Friends will be received Saturday, February 12, 2022, from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 1 PM at the funeral home with the Rev. Carolyn Grove officiating. Burial will follow in the Seventh Day Baptist Cemetery in Lost Creek, WV.
