Connie L. Burr, age 76, of Buckhannon, WV died Friday, January 19, 2024, at her home.

She was born October 14, 1947, in Buckhannon, a daughter of the late Herman Thomas and Betty L. Smith Watson.

She is survived by one daughter, Virgina Booth and husband Matthew of Buckhannon; five sons, Allen and husband Jerry Leary, of Century, WV, Monnie N. Burr, of Elkins, WV, Jody Burr, and wife Renee, of Century, Randy Burr of Buckhannon, Alvie Watson of Buckhannon; six granddaughters, Rachel Smith and husband Josh, Brittany Sprouse and husband Michael, Angel Booth and Emily and Latosha Burrand Jewell Riffle and husband Martin; five grandsons, Ricky Smith and wife Journey, Lee Watson, Jr and wife Raquel and Timonthy Watson and wife Dorothy, Noah Burrand David Burr and wife Cass; six special great grandchildren, Bricen Critchfield, Jason, Payton and Landon Stackpole, Axton Sprouse, and Brayzen Hanifan; five great grandchildren, Josiah Watson, Theodore Riffle, Chloe Burr and Colby and Gabe Watson; several other grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother Herman Junior Watson and wife Barbara of Jane Lew, WV; sister-in-law, Diane and Wayne Crites; aunt Eula Faye Black; special friend, Reta Simons; beloved dog, Baby and Blackie.

She was preceded in death by one grandson Jeff Tenney; brother Thomas L. Watson; grandmother, Reta Peral Smith Hardesty; and Grandfather Alva Harrison Smith.

Connie loved and lived for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed playing cards, BINGO, fishing and Facebook games. Connie will be greatly missed by her family and all of those who knew her.

Friends will be received Thursday, January 25, 2024, from 11 AM to 12 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held 12 PM Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. Wease L. Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Burr Booth Cemetery in Buckhannon.
