BUCKHANNON — The Office of the Secretary of Defense and Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve recently recognized Community Care of West Virginia CEO Rick Simon and COO Kristi Walker as “Patriotic Employers.”

Simon and Walker were nominated by Michelle Sieminski, Guard Officer and CCWV Bridgeport Office Manager. Pictured presenting the certificate to Simon is Brian Shaw, State Program Coordinator of Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve.

The Patriotic Employers Award reflects the efforts made to support citizen warriors through a wide range of measures including flexible schedules, time off for service-related obligations, granting leaves of absence and caring for families.
