Color our world: Upshur County Public Library announces summer reading program

The Upshur County Public Library invites all ages to join its June summer reading program, “Color Our World,” featuring art-themed activities, prizes, a community art show, and registration now open online and at the library.

Library staff encourages patrons of all ages to register for the June 2025 summer reading program at the Upshur County Public Library.

The theme, “Color Our World,” showcases the vast world of breathtaking visual art and shines a light on local artists at all skill levels. This celebration of creativity is welcome to all ages and abilities. The more patrons read, the more points they gain toward prizes, rewards and other perks hosted by the library.

Interested in being part of the community art show throughout the month of June? Artists are welcome to submit this form to UCPL before Thursday, May 29, to be considered to participate in the community art show. Weekly activities, treats and special events will also fill the month-long calendar. Follow UCPL on Facebook for frequent updates on library programming.

Readers can now pre-register for the summer reading program at this link or via the ReadSquared app. The program will officially launch in Upshur County on Sunday, June 1 and will conclude on Monday, June 30.
