WVU Medicine St. Joseph's Hospital's Center for Women's Health has opened its 2026 prenatal and pregnancy classes — including Spinning Babies, breastfeeding basics and Lamaze — for expecting Upshur County families, with Lamaze offered in person or online. Read more →

The City of Buckhannon Water Department has announced a water service interruption alert (for necessary repair work) beginning Thursday, April 24, 2025, at approximately 9 a.m.

The following areas will be affected:

Vicksburg Road from house number 582 to 863.
Pine Lane
Royalty Road
10 & 24 Tripp Drive

The water department will work to get everything back to normal quickly. If the weather makes it impossible to complete on Thursday, they will attempt again on Friday, April 25, 2025.
