Charles ‘Wayne’ Frum

Charles “Wayne” Frum was born on March 10, 1951 and went home to be with the Lord November 13, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon, W.Va.

He is survived by his loving wife, of 40 years, Lynn Fenton Frum; his three daughters, Kristin (Lawrence) Keefer, Kelly (Michael) Yudt, Karyn (Chip) Bennett; nine grandchildren Antonia Marigliani, Jacqueline and Brayden Keefer, Caleb, Joshua and Nathanael Yudt, Gabriella, Evelyn and Ira Bennett; and his four siblings, Lew Frum, Lois Frum, John (D.D.) Frum and Patricia Bissell. In addition he is survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family as well as countless friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother Sylvia Wolfe Frum and father Charles Frum; sister-in-law Terry Frum, brother-in-law Tim Bissell; and nephew Jamie Frum.

Wayne would tell you he ran from God but he quit running in 1987 and then served as a United Methodist Pastor throughout the Baltimore Washington Annual Conference for 30 years. Prior to his retirement he was actively involved in Eastern Panhandle of W.Va. Emmaus and Chrysalis community and Celebrate Recovery. His witness and faith are the legacy he leaves behind. In his retirement he was an active member of Tennerton United Methodist Church.

Through the grace of God, Wayne overcame many obstacles in life.  His battle with juvenile diabetes and it’s complications left his family saying he had thousands of lives. Over the last year his loving wife became his full time care giver. We knew this day would come and we are saddened by our earthly loss but we rejoice in God’s promise that Wayne is no longer wheel chair bound but laughing and dancing on the streets of heaven.

If you would like to rejoice and remember the life of Wayne, a service will be held on Saturday, November 20, at 1:30 p.m. at Tennerton United Methodist Church in Buckhannon, W.Va. In addition the family is planning a Celebration of Life on May 14, 2022 to take place outside at his homeplace on Trainer Road, Buckhannon W.Va.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Tennerton United Methodist Church: 126 Tallmansville Road, Buckhannon, WV 26201 or to WV Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation: 3501 MacCorckle Ave SE #111, Charleston, WV 25304.
