A Mon Hills Christmas, the enchanting jazz album released by Mon Hills Records on December 8, 2023, is celebrating its one-year anniversary. The album has garnered attention for its fresh take on timeless holiday classics and features performances from a talented group of West Virginia University alumni and current students.

The artists featured on A Mon Hills Christmas include Grace Abdalla, a DMA student at West Virginia University Geena Mattox, a WVU alumna Artur Carneiro, a WVU Masters graduate and Georgina Smith, also a WVU alumna.

A year after its release, A Mon Hills Christmas continues to resonate with listeners, gaining popularity among jazz enthusiasts and holiday music lovers alike. The album’s blend of technical virtuosity and heartfelt emotion has made it a holiday favorite, particularly for those seeking an alternative to traditional Christmas music.

Mon Hills Music Group is a collection of independent record labels and acts as the professional component of the West Virginia University Music Industry Program, directed by Prof. Darko Velichokovski, at the university’s College of Creative Arts and Media.
