Cecil Jay Robinson

Cecil Jay Robinson, age 76, of Buckhannon, WV, died Sunday, December 17, 2023.

He was born January 31, 1947, in Upshur County, son of the late Junior Boyd Riley and Mary Magaline Robinson.

He is survived by four sons: Cecil Robinson and wife Ginny of Rock Cave, Jeff Robinson and wife Nanette of Warrenton, VA, Michael Robinson of Meadowbrook, and Jonathan Robinson and wife Terra of Crawford; one daughter Rebecca Robinson of Buckhannon; eight grandchildren: Elizabeth Robinson, Joshua Robinson, Brandon Robinson and wife Megan, Jeremy Robinson and wife Cassandra, Michael Robinson and wife Tammy, Gavin Robinson, Dominick Robinson, and Hailey Hinchman; four great grandchildren: Baylor Hill, Emmy Hill, Molly Robinson, and Luna Lewis; two brothers: Roy Robinson and wife Janet of Wallace, and David Robinson and wife Angie of Clarksburg; and three step children David Leggett, Melissa Leggett, Christopher Leggett and their families.

In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by six brothers: Marion, Elmer, Kenneth, Perry, Jerry, and Billy Robinson; and one sister Barbara Robinson.

Cecil was a member of The Way the Truth the Life Ministries and enjoyed hunting and camping.

The family will receive friends at the Heavner and Cutright Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, from 11 AM to 1 PM, the funeral hour with Pastor Brandi Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in the Bennett Cemetery at Kanawha Head.
