Cathy Jane Tallman

Cathy Jane Tallman, age 66, of Tallmansville, WV, died Thursday, February 9, 2023, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV.

She was born August 24, 1956, in Buckhannon, WV, a daughter of the late Junior and Jane Marsh Kelley.

On November 1, 1974, she married Thomas Tallman who survives. Also surviving one daughter, Trisha Russell of Tallmansville; one son, Kevin Tallman and wife Amanda of Ellamore, WV; four grandsons, Robert Russell and fiancée Katie Chapman of Tallmansville, Nathan Russell and wife Desiree of Rock Cave, WV, Sheldon Russell and Justin Lantz both of Tallmansville; two granddaughters, Erica Lantz of Tallmansville and Carly Howell of Ellamore; one great-granddaughter, Timberlee Russell of Rock Cave; one brother, Randy Kelley of Buckhannon; mother-in-law, Della Mae Tallman of Tallmansville; one brother-in-law, Jimmie Tallman and wife Shelia of Belington, WV; two sisters-in-law, Pam Hanifan and husband Kevin  and Linda Kelley all of Buckhannon and a special friend, Carla Orsburn of Buckhannon.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Rodney “Rod” Kelley, father-in-law, Jim Tallman and one sister-in-law, Phyllis Kelley.

Mrs. Tallman was a homemaker. She was a Sunday School Teacher for many years. She loved Bible Study and Vacation Bible School. She was a member of the Tallmansville CEO’s for many years and did a lot of work for homemakers in Upshur County. Mrs. Tallman loved her family dearly.

Friends will be received Tuesday, February 14, 2023, from 11 AM until 1 PM at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 1 PM Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Brad Tenney and the Rev. Karen Frazier officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Union Church Cemetery in Buckhannon.
