Carolyn E. Grove, age 85, of Buckhannon, WV, went to be with her Lord on June 4, 2026, at the Mountain Living Community Assisted Living Facility in Belington, WV.
She was born on May 19, 1941, in Buckhannon, a daughter of the late Clinton and Madeline Smith Phillips. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Weldon L. Grove; two brothers, Donovan and Rodney Phillips; and one sister, Brenda Joyce Shannon.
She is survived by one daughter, Nita Farrar and husband Rusty of Buckhannon; one brother, Autry Phillips and wife Grace of Buckhannon; one granddaughter, Shonda Lynch of Buckhannon; four great-grandchildren, Alex, Logan, Ava and Taylor; one great-great-grandchild, Matthew; and several nieces and nephews.
Carolyn was a skilled seamstress and upholsterer. She was a caregiver, enjoyed traveling, and attending evangelical crusades where she met so many wonderful people. Carolyn was church pastor at God’s House of Deliverance in Buckhannon and was involved in missionary work for many years. She loved Jesus, her family and friends. Carolyn was a devoted Christian and prayer warrior with her heart’s desire that everyone be saved and dedicate their life to Jesus.
Friends will be received Friday, June 12, 2026, at God’s House of Deliverance from 11 AM to 1 PM. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM at the church. Burial will follow in the Mt. Union Cemetery in Buckhannon.
