Carl Russell Waybright

Carl Russell Waybright, age 71, of Buckhannon, WV, passed away while tending to the property he loved on Wednesday, August 23, 2023.  He was born on November 1, 1951, in Buckhannon; he was the son of  the late Sturl and Ruth Thompson Waybright.

On June 22, 1996, Carl wed Sherry Simon Waybright, who survives him in Buckhannon.  He leaves behind two sons: Dustin Waybright and his wife, Jackie of Indiana; Shawn Cutright and his wife, Rita of Buckhannon; and a daughter, Angela Hinchman, with her husband, Terry, also of Buckhannon.

He was the cherished grandfather to six grandchildren.  Four Granddaughters: Riley and Isabel Waybright of Indiana, and Morgan Cutright and Jaiden Morris of Buckhannon.  And two grandsons: Adrian Cutright and his wife, Jessica, of Ohio, and Greyson Hinchman of Buckhannon.  Carl was blessed with two great grandchildren.

He is also survived by a sister, Betty Philips and her husband, Roger, of Clarksburg, WV.  Besides his parents, Carl was predeceased by a brother, Sturl Waybright, Jr., and a sister, Helen Phillips.

An avid outdoorsman and hunter, Carl had a special fondness for turkey hunting.  In accordance with his wishes, Carl will be cremated.
