Carl Edward Campbell

Carl Edward Campbell, 90, of Ellamore, W.Va. died Saturday, March 7, 2020, at the Elkins Rehabilitation and Care Center in Elkins, W.Va.

He was born August 31, 1929, in Upshur County, W.Va., a son of the late George Winters and Anna Warner Campbell.

On March 9, 1974, he married Pauline Morrison who preceded him in death on May 15, 1995. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Frances Woodard and two brothers, Glenn and Jim Campbell.

Surviving are two sons, Terry Crouse and fiancé Heather Depoy and Rodney Crouse all of Buckhannon; four step daughters, Debbie Kowalkoski and partner Annie Stutzman of Stephens City, Va., Kimberly Kowalkoski and Charlie Zirkle of Lewis Co., W.Va., Teresa Paugh and husband Jody of Lewis Co. and Barbara Tenney Fisher and husband James of Buckhannon; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; one brother, Clyde Campbell of Rock Cave, W.Va. and special family member, James Crouse and wife Bonnie of Brooks Hill, W.Va.

Mr. Campbell served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War from February 24, 1947, until September 19, 1953.

Friends will be received Thursday, March 12, 2020, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor David Jessie officiating. Burial will follow in the Bailey Cemetery in Buckhannon, W.Va.
