Buckhannon City Hall to close on Friday due to winter weather

BUCKHANNON, W.Va. — Mayor Robbie Skinner has announced that because of the impending winter storm, Buckhannon City Hall and the City Transfer Station will be closed to the public Friday, December 23, 2022.

Due to the nature of their essential services, staff members will be available to answer calls and take requests for assistance during regular business hours, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM. City Hall’s number is 304-472-1651.

Fire, police, waste, water, sanitary and street department employees will be available to help ensure the health and safety of citizens.

Please exercise caution as the weather is expected to turn bad early Friday morning and will continue to deteriorate with single-digit temperatures, high winds, and deadly wind chills into Saturday.
