Yard Waste (debris) will be collected from City of Buckhannon Residents – Residents must contact Buckhannon City Hall to be placed on the collection list. City residents may take their bagged yard waste (debris) to the Transfer Station during normal operating hours free of charge, and may bring two truckloads to the Transfer Station per year, free of charge.

July 4th Fireworks – The City of Buckhannon is preparing for another 4th of July celebration and looks forward to joining Create Buckhannon for a whole evening of activities. It will be a memorable celebration with all the musical acts, vendors, Farmers Market, Create Buckhannon Chicken Dinner BBQ, and special activities for the children in Jawbone Park. Of course, it will all be topped by another outstanding Fireworks Display, sponsored by the City of Buckhannon at dark! We invite everyone to celebrate with us on Friday, July 4th, in Buckhannon.
Updates Regarding Yard Waste Collection for City Residents – Yard Waste (debris) will be collected from City of Buckhannon residents on the following dates: June 27, 2025, July 11, 2025, July 25, 2025, August 8, 2025, and August 22, 2025. Beginning September 1, 2025, it will be collected every Friday through November 30. Residents must contact Buckhannon City Hall to be placed on the collection list. Pay Utility Bills Online or by Phone – To make an online payment for your utility bill, click here: https://www.municipalonlinepayments.com/buckhannonwv – To pay over the phone, call 1-866-933-4026. Even if you do not wish to pay your bill using this method, you may still want to set up an account, which will allow you to monitor your consumption. To sign up for this service, you will need to complete the online registration, which includes knowing your Utility Board Account Number (printed on your bill) and the last amount you paid. Once your account has been established, you must log in with the proper email and password.
Reporting a Necessary Repair or Registering a Concern with the City – To report a necessary repair, such as potholes, damaged street signs, an issue in a city park, etc., or any other matter that a city department should attend to, call City Hall during regular business hours and ask to submit a work order request, or report your concerns through our Citizens Engagement tool: https://buckhannonwv.portal.iworq.net/BUCKHANNON/new-request/700/3444. This will speed up the reaction time to a matter that needs immediate attention.
