Brad Ling named VIP at St. Joseph’s Hospital

BUCKHANNON, W.Va. — St. Joseph’s Hospital recently honored Brad Ling, RN with the Valued Inspired Person Award (VIP) for the hospital.  Brad works in the Education Department as a Nurse Educator.

Brad’s co-workers say he has gone above and beyond during the COVID-19 pandemic to assure all staff are kept safe.  He recognizes needs and implements them quickly, such as sizing and fit testing staff for N95’s and respirators. He consistently studies new educational opportunities and recently has become an educator for AVADE, a de-escalation training designed to teach staff how to protect themselves.

Brad strives to know the details of everything with which he is involved and trains staff to make sure patients are cared for in the best way possible.

St. Joseph’s Hospital honors staff members with the Valued Inspired Person Award (VIP) on a bimonthly basis.  The VIP Award is given to those who demonstrate the Christ values of the hospital:  Compassion, Hospitality, Reverence, Interdependence, Stewardship, and Trust.
