Betty Ledford, age 86, of Rock Cave, died Monday, February 3, 2025, at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport.
She was born on December 12, 1938, in Grassy Creek, Webster County, WV, a daughter of the late Gordon (Dick) Hugart Hines and Bessie Marie Lee Hines. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one daughter, Dianne, and two brothers, Bobby and Dennis Hines.
She is survived by two sons, Mark Ledford and Dan Ledford; four grandchildren, DJ Ledford, Danielle Ledford, Pat and Amanda Blue, and Jeremy and Amanda Bowen; eight great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
Betty was a veteran of the US Air Force where she proudly served as a Protocol Officer. She enjoyed gardening, painting, crocheting, making crafts and tending her many animals.
The body will be cremated. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
