Basketball Bucs move up to eighth in latest WVSACA poll

Buckhannon-Upshur climbed to No. 8 in the latest WVSACA boys’ basketball poll, earning 36 points after a 1-1 week that included a loss at Robert C. Byrd and a bounce-back win over Wheeling Park. The Bucs (8-3) face a tough test next at No. 6 University and No. 6 East Fairmont.

TENNERTON – The Buckhannon-Upshur boys’ basketball team moved up one spot in WVSACA Poll this week.

In the week six poll, the Bucs (8-3) moved up from ninth to eighth with 36 points after a 1-1 week where they lost on the road to Robert C. Byrd 59-49 but came back to beat Wheeling Park Friday night.

The Bucs have another big week on tap as they visit Class AAAA No. 6 University on Wednesday and host Class AAA No. 6 East Fairmont on Friday.
