BUCKHANNON — The Infamous Art Collective is excited to announce its upcoming themed show, “How Strangely Our Souls Connect,” which will make its debut Saturday, Aug. 28.
The exhibit will open at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Blaxxmith Shop, located at 38 E. Main St. in downtown Buckhannon.
The theme, ‘How Strangely Our Souls Connect’ asks the questions, “What is it that brings two souls together? From what well does this familiarity spring? The mutual struggle? A heart’s promise from the past? The chancest of encounters?”
The Infamous Art Collective hopes you join them as these questions are considered in a collection of pieces by local artists. The Blaxxmith Shop is proud to host The Infamous Art Collective, whose talents include Rachal Mercado, Stacy McLaughlin, Heather Coleman, Danielle Coleman, Jennifer Walsh, Julia Bettis, Ava Hibbs, Max Stewart, Alice-Gervais, Sara Golden, Christina Hooker, Holt Thomas, Ryan Spangenberg, Jon Benjamin and Tim Hibbs.
The Infamous Art Collective is a group of artists advocating for artists, and they focus on contemplating and visually interpreting the elements of life. Each month, Art Collective members conceive of a different theme and bring that to light through a variety of visual art mediums.
However, on Aug. 28, the Infamous Art Collective will be kicking things up a notch. You don’t want to miss this event because the collective plans to introduce writers into the mix. In addition to new, emotionally-driven art, the art collective will showcase never-before-published works by local authors Christina Hooker, Sasha Hibbs and Clara Lehmann.
Come join us at 6 p.m. Aug. 28 at 38 E. Main St. for The Infamous Art Collective’s take on “How Strangely Our Souls Connect.” We proudly support local artists and authors, and there will be hors d’oeuvres, live music, beverages, friends, and an exciting new theme to explore.
As always, the event is free and all are welcome.
