Obituary Kim Lincicome

Kimberly Dawn Lincicome, 54, of Buckhannon, passed away in the early hours of Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at United Hospital Center in Clarksburg.

Kim was born June 25, 1966, the daughter of the late Hobart Alfred Martin Jr. and June Kathryn Bennett Powers. On August 29, 1986, she married the love of her life, Bradley Allen Lincicome, who survives.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her beloved daughters: Katrina Duckworth and husband Joel of Morgantown, Tabitha McDaniels and husband Travis of Buckhannon, Miranda Andrews and husband Josh of Buckhannon; three grandsons, Trenton Moran of Buckhannon, and Sebastian and Myles Duckworth of Morgantown; two sisters: Sue Heater of Buckhannon, Nancy McCartney and husband Jimmy of Walkersville; three brothers: Sammy Sampson and wife Peggy of Troutville, Va., David Sampson of French Creek and Steve Powers of Canaan, and many nieces, nephews and cousins, who loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Jack Powers and Larry Wayne Powers, and one child, who was born sleeping.

Kim was a 1984 graduate of Buckhannon-Upshur High School, where she played clarinet in the marching band. She was a homemaker, whose passions included true crime, crafting, drawing and film. She was a long-time member of the West Virginia Strawberry Festival Board and was very active in her community and her church, Chapel Hill United Methodist Church. 

Kim had a true love of life and helping others. In keeping with this, she wishes to have her body donated to a Forensic Osteology Research Station, so that she may continue to help others, even in death. 

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church in Buckhannon.
