Citizens Bank of West Virginia announced recently that Becky Sands, Vice President & Loan Operations Manager, is retiring from her position after 39 years in banking.

Sands began employment with Citizens in 2008 as a Loan Accounting System Specialist and was promoted to Loan Operations Manager in 2009. Vice President was added to her title in 2012.

“It has been an honor to have Becky as part of the Citizens team,” said President and CEO Nathaniel S. Bonnell. “Becky has improved our loan operations and shared the knowledge she possessed with the rest of the team to help us grow and become an efficient loan producer. She will be truly missed and we wish her all the best as she begins her next chapter in retirement.”

Married to Mike Sands, she is a resident of Buckhannon, and has three children, Jason and Erik Gower, and Brianne Allen; and two stepchildren, Jennifer Gillespie and Dylan Sands; and eleven grandchildren. She serves as Trustee, Assistant Treasurer, Communications Director, and Sunday School Teacher for the Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church.
