Diane Lynn Pringle

Diane Lynn Pringle, 65, of French Creek, passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family and under the compassionate care of WV Hospice on Saturday, February 22, 2020, in the comfort of her daughter’s home in Tallmansville.

She was born in Olean, N.Y. on March 9, 1954, a daughter of the late Herbert Duane Cox Sr. and Shirley Maxine Eck Cox.

Diane’s honest and hardworking nature will be remembered by three daughters: Melissa Paradis and husband, Bill, of Saco, ME, Valerie Enaire of Fairmont, and Brenda Sines and husband, Timothy, of Tallmansville; one step son, Chuck Pringle and wife, Cathy, of French Creek; ten grandchildren: Chasity Sines, Joshua Amelotte, Maceala Sines-Tenney, Mariah Enaire, Journey Pringle, Dakota Paradis, Kaleigh Clickman, Kaitlynn Paradis, Kal-El Sines, and Ivy Sines; two great-grandchildren: Tracen Lee Sines and Macey Lynn Tenney; eleven siblings: Herbert Cox Jr. and wife, Karen, Donald Cox and wife, Sherri, Connie Lemon and husband, Tim, Roxanne Scull, Debbie Page and husband, Jeff, Linda Eastman and husband, Rev. Tom, Steven Cox and wife, Ginny, Mark Cox and wife, Mary, Christine Sosnowski and husband, Rich, Marcy Aloi and husband, Tony, and Kim Ginter and companion, Richard; step-mother, Gwen Cox; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Diane was greeted at Heaven’s gates by one daughter, April Clickman; one son-in-law, Ike Clickman; one brother, Daniel Cox; one brother-in-law, Pete Scull; and her beloved Great Dane, Harley.

Diane graduated from Portville Central High School in 1972. Her motherly instincts were evident in her work at Upshur County Headstart where she cared for the children as a bus driver for twelve years. Diane loved to cook especially gravy and meatloaf. She shared her talents as a cook for the Moose Lodge 598.

Diane was always giving and caring for others whether she was leading 4-H or a troop of Girl Scouts. She also loved to play BINGO and donated her time calling numbers for the Moose Lodge, Fraternal Order of the Eagles Aerie 4357, VFW Post 3663, and American Legion Post 7. She thoroughly enjoyed her time spent at the American Legion and made many lifetime friends.

In her spare time, Diane liked to spend time outdoors fishing for catfish and gardening. She also enjoyed working word search puzzles and reading.

Family and friends will gather for visitation at Tomblyn-Clutter Funeral and Cremation located at 21 Elnora Circle from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, February 27, 2020. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday in the Tomblyn-Clutter Funeral Chapel with Pastor Ed Lowther officiating. Interment will follow at Hampton Cemetery in Hampton, W.Va.
