Mildred Jane White

Mildred Jane White, age 95, of Buckhannon, WV, died Friday, February 6, 2026, at Genesis Healthcare Salem Center in Salem, WV.

She was born August 26, 1930, in Buckhannon, a daughter of the late Nira Earnest and Hattie Jane Hawkins Jack. On November 12, 1948, she married Paul A. White, who preceded her in death on October 17, 2006.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Paul Robert White; grandson, Paul Andrew White; and sister, Mary Jack.

She is survived by one daughter, Mary Jane Jack and husband Bob of Buckhannon; one son, David E. White and wife Janice of Bellingham, WA; two grandsons, Brian Jack and wife Stephanie and Jason Jack and partner Heather Anderson, all of Buckhannon; four granddaughters, Nicole Coe and husband Tim of Buckhannon, Jennifer White and fiancé Matt Dunmire of Manorville, PA, Danielle Skukalek and husband Nick of Ford City, PA, and Amanda Purdie of Oklahoma City, OK; 16 great-grandchildren, Sophia & Olivia Jack, J. R. Renfrew, Brianna Shaw, Zack, Hunter, Brett, David, William, Lynnzie, Brayden, & Jazzmyn Coe, Liliana White, Gabby Dunmire, Lucas & Logan Skukalek; and 11 great-great-grandchildren, Rebecca, Ashley, & Roree Renfrew, Aurelia, Aspen, & Atlas Shaw, and Evelynn, Avery, Amelia, Maverick, & Auora Coe. Also left behind is her beloved dog and companion, Odie.

Mrs. White graduated from Buckhannon-Upshur High School and continued her education by receiving a business degree. She worked as an Order Processor for Moore Business Forms and was a member of the Sand Run Baptist Church in Excelsior, WV. Mildred was also a member of CEOS and TOPS.

In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and loved her flowers. Some of her favorite memories were from family trips to Ocean City, MD.

The family would like to thank all the Home Health workers who cared for Mildred throughout the years.

Friends will be received Wednesday, February 11, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Sand Run Baptist Church. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. with Pastor Greg Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Sand Run Baptist Church Cemetery.
