On October 9, 2025, Quilters at Heart Quilt Guild of Buckhannon held the drawing for their 2025 Charity Raffle Quilt. The lucky winner of this year’s “Harvest Stars” quilt was Rev. Ed Lowther.
Rev. Lowther is the pastor at the South Buckhannon Mission Church in Buckhannon. The quilt guild raised $2000 for the Graciously Giving Through Christ Foster Closet. Kelsey Metz, Founder/Organizer for the Foster Closet, attended the meeting to draw the winning name for the quilt and to receive the check from the Quilters at Heart Quilt Guild.
Once a year, members of the Quilters at Heart make a quilt to raffle to raise money for a local charity. A new quilt made by guild members is already in the works for 2026.
