The Rotary Club of Buckhannon-Upshur will partner with WVU Medicine St. Joseph’s Hospital to host a blood drive and food donation drive on Friday, February 14, at the Event Center at Brushy Fork in Buckhannon. The blood drive will be managed by Vitalant, the official blood supplier for both St. Joseph’s Hospital and United Hospital Center.

The blood drive will be held from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm, and appointments to donate can be made online at Vitalant.Org. You can either search by location or use the account code: UW431005. Blood donations are critical to saving lives and supporting many medical treatments. There is always a constant need for blood donors in order to ensure the patients in our community and beyond have access to this life-saving resource.

Food donations for the Parish House Food Pantry can be dropped off at the Event Center anytime between 10:00 am and 2:30 pm. Items needed include non-perishable food items such as canned vegetables, canned beans, peanut butter and jelly.

The Rotary Club of Buckhannon-Upshur is dedicated to its mission of “Service Above Self,” addressing many needs in our community. For more information about the club, visit them at Facebook.com/BU Rotary.
