The Rustic Mechanicals celebrate a decade of drama with ‘The Comedy of Errors’ in Buckhanon this Friday

BUCKHANNON — The Colonial Arts Center in Buckhannon is thrilled to host an evening of classic theatre, showcasing the talents of The Rustic Mechanicals as they celebrate their 10th anniversary.

On Friday, July 7, at 8 p.m. in the Main Hall, audience members are invited to experience the chaos and hilarity of Shakespeare’s timeless comedy, “The Comedy of Errors.”

The play, featuring estranged twin brothers and twin servants thrown into a city of sorcery, offers an amusing blend of mistaken identities and farcical situations. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at our.show/comedybuckhannon.

In addition, there are about 40 free student seats remaining for students from K-12 and in college with a valid ID. Secure a free seat by contacting Anne Wilson at anne.wilson@buckhannonwv.org or messaging @colonialartscenter on Facebook or Instagram. Alternatively, call 304-472-1651 x 1052.

The Rotary Club of Buckhannon-Upshur is sponsoring the event.

For one night only, watch the story unfold as estranged twin brothers (both called Antipholus) and estranged twin servants (both called Dromio) navigate a foreign city, encountering a range of characters and comedic circumstances that keep the audience engaged and laughing throughout. The evening promises a blend of classic theatre and modern interpretation that only The Rustic Mechanicals can deliver.
