Sheriff’s Office: The two people injured in Tuesday’s Kesling Mill wreck are in stable condition

BUCKHANNON — The Upshur County Sheriff’s Office says the two people injured in a wreck Tuesday at the intersection of Kesling Mill and Route 33 are in stable condition.

“On Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at approximately 3:02 p.m., the Upshur County 911 Comm Center received a call about a motor vehicle accident at Kesling Mill and Route 33 intersection,” a press release from the office says. “The Upshur County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle accident involving Debra Hinchman, 65, of Buckhannon, and Bennie Lane, 67, of Elkins.

“Mrs. Hinchman was life-flighted, and Mr. Lane was transported by ambulance from the scene. Both are in stable condition.

“The accident is still under investigation. Buckhannon Police Dept., Buckhannon Fire Dept., Dept. of Highways, and Upshur County EMS responded to the accident.”
