Lacrosse Lady Bucs down Wheeling Park lose to University

WHEELING – The Buckhannon-Upshur ran their winning streak to five games with a convincing 15-3 win over Wheeling Park on the road Tuesday but saw the streak end on Thursday with an 11-5 road loss to University.

The split left the Lady Bucs with a 5-3 record.

Against Wheeling Park, Mallory Moss led the attack with four goals while Kendall Hefner had three, Chloe Bennett, Heather Hayes and Kendall Defibaugh each scored two and Jessica Sandberg had one.

Kaylee Black led the squad in ground balls with six while Kendal Hefner had five.

Haylea Crihfield and Josie Rosencrance split time in net for the Lady Bucs with Crihfield not seeing a shot and Rosencrance making two saves.

Against University, Hayes had three of the five goals while Defibaugh had two.

Black paced the team with five ground balls.

Crihfield made seven saves in the setback.

The Lady Bucs will be back in action Friday at John Marshall at 6:30 p.m.
