BUCKHANNON — Kids eager to get a head start on Halloween came out a night before the the haunted holiday Tuesday to the Public Safety Complex’s annual Trunk-or-Treat.

This year’s event was bigger, better and sweeter than ever, said City of Buckhannon finance and administrative director Amberle Jenkins.

“We know we had over 600 kids at least,” Jenkins, who’d dressed up as a pirate for the occasion, said.

Trick-or-treating in the city is scheduled for 6-7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Halloween, and from 6-8 p.m. in the county.
