2023 Buccaneer Soccer Camp wraps up; award winners announced

TENNERTON – Buckhannon-Upshur boy’s head soccer coach Mike Donato and his staff recently concluded their 2023 Buccaneer Soccer camp last week.

“It was a huge success,” noted Donato. “We had 50 young soccer players attend last week to sharpen their soccer skills and learn some new ones as well.”

Joining Donato for the camp this year were B-U soccer alumni Lexi Queen, Dalton Auvil, and Kevin Nicholson, Buckhannon-Upshur boy’s assistant coach Brian Brandish, Buckhannon-Upshur girls head coach Jason Piacente and assistant coach Logan Kelley and current members of the Buccaneer and Lady Buc soccer teams.

“I can’t thank coaches enough who donated their timeand all the current high school players on both the boys and girls teams who helped throughout the week and our boosters who helped with registration and prizes,” stated Donato. “Also, the week wouldn’t be possible without the support of our sponsors: Ameriprise Financial, Baker Tilly, Final Grade Excavation, Highland Landscaping, K & K Loans, Sam’s Pizza, Stone Tower Brews, Stone Tower Roasters, Sunset Graphics and Whistle Stop.”
