Buckhannon Police Department appear as guest judges for First Community Bank pumpkin contest

BUCKHANNON – Chief Matt Gregory and Lieutenant Doug Loudin of the Buckhannon Police Department had the honor of choosing the First Community Bank Halloween Pumpkin Decorating Contest winner on Friday morning. 

The pumpkins were decorated by the friendly staff from various FCB departments:

  • “Beware” was created by the Drive Thru team.
  • A spooky cat was designed by the Mortgage Loan team.
  • A woman with curlers was created by the Commercial Loans team.
  • The well-known fictional clown “It” – a true contender for the win – was designed by the Personal Banking team. 

“We love to have special guest judges to come and pick our winners,” said Karen Knabenshue, Branch Manager of First Community Bank in Buckhannon. “We do this every year and have a lot of fun with it.”

Loudin confessed it was a tough decision. However, Gregory and Loudin joined forces in choosing the “Beware” pumpkin because the addition of spooky decorations and the Drive Thru team’s attention to detail.
