Barbour Community Health Association’s P.A.N.I.C. program celebrates 11 years

Barbour Community Health Association continues to expand its community health services throughout the region. Physical Activity and Nutrition in the Community (P.A.N.I.C.) is a signature event in Barbour County that takes place at the Belington Middle School.

Celebrating its eleventh anniversary, this free program is held over six weeks and engages participants in physical exercise activities and health/wellness presentations.

Throughout the last eleven years the P.A.N.I.C. program has grown to integrate a variety of exercise sessions including Zumba, yoga, square dancing and more.

A wide variety of health and wellness topics are covered and presented by guest speakers, encompassing new and relevant subjects every year. Boosting confidence and arming participants with knowledge on how to achieve and maintain good health are just a few of the outcomes participants attain at the completion of the program.

New this year is a coupon for six free admissions to the Belington Wellness Center given to each registered participant to use during the six-week program. The coupons are only valid for those that are registered for the P.A.N.I.C. program, are non-transferable and excludes scheduled classes.

Sessions are held on Monday evenings, March 4 through April 8 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Weekly door prizes are an added incentive for P.A.N.I.C. participants. Prizes include wellness center memberships, gift certificates, blender bottles and more.

Remember to bring clean shoes and your water bottle to each session. Healthy snacks and covered topic handouts will accompany each session as well.
