Doris Darlene Swisher

Doris Darlene Swisher, 56, of Buckhannon, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at Holbrook on the Hill Nursing Facility.

She was born April 12, 1963, in Virginia, a daughter of the late Arthur L. and Juanita Marie Gower Swisher.

Doris is survived by three children: Brandi D. Swisher and Ashley N. Bennett both of Buckhannon, and Shane M. Swisher of Morgantown; one brother: Arthur L. Swisher and wife, JoDell, of Buckhannon; six grandchildren: Christian Michael, Kaleb Elias, Trinity Nichole, Zoey Lynn, Kaelyn Paige and Myah Brooke; and several special nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by two sisters: Twilla Dittrick and Tammy Swisher.

Doris was a member of the Macedonia Church.  She adored and cherished her grandchildren and enjoyed sewing and cooking.  She was a very social person and enjoyed talking with everyone she met.  Doris will be missed tremendously by all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to:  Tomblyn-Clutter Funeral and Cremation, 21 Elnora Circle, Buckhannon, WV 26201 to help with final expenses.

A service will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 11 a.m. in the Macedonia Church with Pastor Rod Heckert officiating.
