WVU Medicine St. Joseph’s Hospital is proud to announce that Karla Tucker, BSN, RN, CCRN, NE-BC, Director of Nursing/Chief Nursing Officer, has earned her Nurse Executive-Board Certified (NE-BC) credential, awarded by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Tucker achieved this distinction on June 24, 2025, following months of dedicated preparation and professional commitment.
The NE-BC certification recognizes nurse leaders who demonstrate the highest level of knowledge and expertise in executive nursing practice, including strategic management, leadership, and operations. This advanced certification highlights Tucker’s continued commitment to excellence and leadership in nursing at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

Tucker brings over 30 years of nursing experience to her role, including critical care and nursing leadership. Her NE-BC certification further strengthens the hospital’s ongoing mission to provide high-quality, patient-centered care with strong clinical leadership at the forefront.
