BUCKHANNON, W.Va. —  WVU Medicine St. Joseph’s Hospital and their Registered Dietitian (RD) Kelly Povroznik are recognizing National Nutrition Month in March by promoting the importance of making informed food choices while developing both sound eating and physical activity habits.

This month is an opportunity to remind the public that RDs are the most valuable and credible sources of timely and scientifically-based food and nutrition information.

This year, the National Nutrition Month theme is “Celebrate a World of Flavors.” This theme embraces global cultures, cuisines and inclusivity. We are also recognizing Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Day on Wednesday, March 9. As the nation’s food and nutrition experts, RDNs are committed to improving the health of their patients, families and communities.

For more information, contact Kelly Povroznik, MS, RD, LD at (304) 473-2197 or kelly.povroznik@wvumedicine.org.
