Soccer Bucs suffocate Oak Hill in 4-0 win, stretch shutout streak to three

Buckhannon-Upshur blanked Oak Hill 4-0 for its third straight shutout and victory, improving to 3-2. Coby Smith scored twice, while Brody Wright added a goal and two assists as the Bucs allowed only two shots on frame.

Soccer Lady Bucs stumble at Hurricane, suffer season’s first defeat

Buckhannon-Upshur struck first on Rylen Carlyle’s early goal but surrendered four unanswered in a 4-1 loss at undefeated Hurricane, its first defeat of the season. Bella Nottingham made 18 saves, including a penalty stop.

Stephen David Randall

Stephen David Randall, 77, of Buckhannon, passed away on August 20, 2026. A licensed captain and lifelong adventurer, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, sailor, and entrepreneur. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 12, at Wesley Chapel.
