MORGANTOWN — On Saturday, the West Virginia Wesleyan Bobcat men’s and women’s track and field teams competed in the Stan Romanoski Open at West Virginia University and took top three spots in several events.
Taking first place in the women’s 400-meter hurdles was Aubrey Wiethe with a time of 1:07.79.
In the women’s long jump, Samantha Cash placed second with a leap of 5.15 meters (16′ 10.75″)
The Bobcat women’s 4 x 100 relay team of Aubrey Wiethe, Cash, Abby McDonough, Ayanna Woods came in third with a time of 52.11
Leigha Hall and Anthony Sanders were top performers in the 5000-meter events, each coming in third place. Hall ran it in 17:51.39 and Sanders clocked in at 15:08.62
And in the men’s long jump, Michael Hansford landed a third-place mark of 6.36 meters (20′ 10.5″).
