Wesleyan tennis teams have good weekend road trip

The West Virginia Wesleyan College men’s and women’s tennis teams went on the road to play Chowan University on Friday, Barton College on Saturday and University of Mt. Olive on Sunday. The men beat Chowan 5-2, beat Barton 4-3 and lost to Mt. Olive 6-1.

The women beat Chowan 5-2, lost to Barton 6-1 and lost to Mt. Olive 4-3.

Highlighting the weekend was head coach Kyle Hoffman’s 100th career victory with wins on Friday.

Also newsworthy was that it was only the second time in school history that the men have beaten Barton.

Wesleyan tennis heads to Francis Marion University Thursday, Mar. 7 for a 2 p.m. match.
